Frequently Asked Questions
-
How can I book you?
he best way to get started is by filling out my contact form. Before you do, I encourage you to spend a little time exploring my portfolio and About page to make sure my style and approach feel like the right fit for you.
Once I receive your inquiry, we'll chat about your vision, answer any questions, and determine the best session or collection for your needs. A signed contract and retainer officially reserve your date.
-
What are your rates?
Every session and celebration is unique, which is why I offer several collection options to fit different needs and budgets. You can find starting prices on my Pricing & Packages page.
If you're planning something a little outside the box, don't hesitate to reach out. I'm always happy to create a custom quote.
-
Where do you live and how far do you travel?
I'm based in central Wisconsin and regularly photograph clients throughout Wisconsin, including Wausau, Weston, Schofield, Stevens Point, Marshfield, Eau Claire, Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, and surrounding communities.
I also travel regularly to Chicago, Minneapolis, and destination locations throughout the United States. If your story takes us somewhere new, I'd love to hear about it.
-
How do you deliver your images?
All sessions outside of weddings are delivered through an online, password-protected gallery. You can download the images and share or print as you wish! You can also order prints through my website.
Weddings are delivered via my online gallery and my clients also get a USB mailed to their home.
-
How many images do I get with my session?
I usually deliver around 50 images per hour of photo coverage, unless otherwise noted. With that, I usually under promise and over deliver!
-
How long does it take to get my photos?
Unless otherwise noted, my turnaround time for weddings is usually within 7 weeks and everything else is within 3 weeks.
-
What types of photography do you specialize in?
I’m up for just about anything, but love photographing families, seniors, branding, corporate events, special events, and a limited number of intimate and destination weddings each year.
-
Do you photograph traditional weddings?
I've stepped away from traditional full-day wedding coverage and now focus exclusively on micro weddings, intimate celebrations, and destination weddings. If you're unsure whether your event is a good fit, I'd love to hear more about your plans.
-
How far in advance should I book?
Popular dates, especially summer and fall evenings, can book several months in advance. Seniors and families often reserve sessions 1-3 months ahead, while intimate weddings and destination weddings may book much earlier.
If you have a specific date in mind, I recommend reaching out as soon as possible.
-
What happens if it rains?
Wisconsin weather likes to keep us on our toes, so don't worry if the forecast isn't perfect.
If rain, severe weather, or unsafe conditions are expected, we'll work together to reschedule your session at no additional charge. Sometimes a cloudy day actually creates beautiful lighting, so I don't automatically reschedule for overcast skies.
For weddings, events, and celebrations, we'll discuss backup plans ahead of time so you're prepared no matter what Mother Nature decides to do.
-
What should we wear for our session?
I always recommend wearing something that feels like you. The best photos happen when you're comfortable and confident.
Neutral tones, soft colors, and coordinating outfits tend to photograph beautifully, but the most important thing is that you feel good in what you're wearing. Avoid large logos, busy patterns, and anything that requires constant adjusting.
Once your session is booked, I'm happy to provide guidance and help you choose outfits that work well together.
-
Do you help with location selection?
Absolutely!
One of the most common questions I receive is, "Where should we take photos?" Whether you're looking for a downtown vibe, a beautiful natural setting, an urban backdrop, or a location that has personal meaning to your family, I'm happy to help.
After learning more about your vision, I'll recommend locations that fit your style and photograph beautifully at the time of day we've scheduled your session.
